What is the Applied EMG Award?
The Applied EMG Award is a program designed to support researchers in Latin America who are interested in conducting EMG-focused research in sports, rehabilitation, or physiotherapy. This year, the De Luca Foundation will select two winners to push the future of applied EMG research by conducting novel studies using the tools provided.

Our Goal
The Applied EMG Award provides researchers with tools and technology to explore how EMG can be used daily with athletes and patients. Each winner will receive a $2,500 stipend and Trigno EMG equipment from Delsys to conduct their research.
Selected applicants will utilize Delsys’ innovative EMG technology to examine muscle activity for one of the following research areas:
- Sports
- Rehabilitation
- Physiotherapy

Application Process
Design an innovative research proposal that explores how EMG can be used to reimagine sports, rehabilitation, or physiotherapy.
Criteria for Evaluation
Research proposals will be evaluated based on their novelty, feasibility, and potential impact.
