We are glad to announce that we will grant eight (8) travel awards for students attending the upcoming 8th World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB), 8-12 July 2018 in Dublin, Ireland. The awards are intended to encourage students to participate to WCB 2018 and present their work in Motor Control to the research community.
Award: Each award consists of an amount of US $ 500.
Eligibility: The applicant must be a graduate student at a domestic or international academic institution. The applicant must submit an abstract to the category “Locomotion and Human Movement” and subcategory “Motor Control”, and the abstract must be accepted for presentation as either a poster or oral presentation.
Submission: For consideration, the candidate must:
submit electronically an abstract on the WCB 2018 website
select the category “Locomotion and Human Movement” and subcategory “Motor Control” from the drop-down menu on the abstract submission system, and
select to be considered for the De Luca Foundation “Motor Control” Student Travel Award under the Awards section on the form.
Selection: The selection is made by the DLF Committee based on the scientific quality of the abstract submitted. Proof of abstract acceptance, graduate student status, and travel to WCB 2018 will be requested by DLF for disbursement of the award.
