What is biomechanics?
It’s the story of us… how we move through the world: Forward, backward, up and down. Under and over. It’s the story about technology, science, music, medicine, sports and art. It’s written in equations, steps, rotations, collision, code and sweat. It’s full of setbacks and successes. It’s a story built on the past, informed by the present and envisioning our future for a better world in motion. We tell this story, because no matter how we move, we’re always moving forward.
We are a proud sponsor of the Wartenweiler Memorial Lecture at the XXVII Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics, held in conjunction with the 43rd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Biomechanics.
Hugh Herr of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is the 2019 Wartenweiler Lecturer. Herr was coined the ‘Leader of the Bionic Age,’ by TIME.
